Twitter.comI've only recently started to use Twitter as a form of professional development thanks to my induction coach. There are SO many things to look at, so many discussions to be a part of. There are so many hashtags to follow and educators, too. Here are a few!
#elemmathchat #stem or #steam #kinderchat #teachleusd @WODB @MrCarlsonK @jamiedunc3 Those are just a few. When I needed some ideas for a marble run, I went to Twitter and things i found really helped me prepare a better lesson. There are a lot of discussions being had on Twitter. If you log on during certain times and days you can join a conversation on just about anything! |
I think a lot of people underestimate Pinterest. I have found some of my favorite lessons on Pinterest. Sometimes, a picture will spark an idea in me and I create things that were even better than what I had found. Sometimes it's just the light you need to lead you on the right path. If you don't have an account, I strongly encourage you to create one!

"Teach Like a Pirate"This book was recommended to me by my induction coach who had it recommended to her by our assistant principal Mr. Fitch. We've decided to create a teacher book club and discuss it over the summer before we return back in August.
